It is a good idea to make users enter their password to login. This will also disable the welcome screen so it will force users to enter a password.

Click start as show in the the picture below:

Left Click Control Panel

[edit] Classic Start Menu

Hover your mouse over settings tab then Click Control Panel

Left Click User Accounts

[edit] Classic View

[edit] Step 4

Now click Change the way user log on or off

Uncheck Use the Welcome Screen then click apply
