[edit] C# Console.WriteLine Method
If you have gone threw the previous sections of this tutorial you already have been exposed to WriteLine. This section is a little more detailed on the use of WriteLine.
WriteLine can display literal text and string variables. Take a look at the example below:
Code:
Console.Write("I am learning C#");
This code simply writes I am learning C# to the screen. And that's all it will do.
Output
[edit] C# Console.Write Method
Console.Write is slightly different then Console.WriteLine. Write does not go to the next line when multiple Console.Write commands are given. Instead the cursor remains on the same line until you tell it to go to the next line by using a cariage return.
Take a look at the C# code:
Code:
Console.Write("I am learning C#");
Console.Write("I love programming");
Output
|
I am learning C#I love programming
|
try running this code and you will see that Write keeps the text on the same line.
