[edit] TimeSpan TotalHours Property
The TimeSpan TotalHours property simply returns the total TimeSpan interval in Hours. It returns a Double which means it can return negative and positive values.
Use this property if you need to know the total TimeSpan in Hours. Since it returns a double value it will calculate partial hours.
[edit] Syntax
object.TotalHours()
[edit] Example 1:
using System;
class Program
{
static void Main()
{
DateTime now = DateTime.Now;
DateTime then = new DateTime(2004, 12, 3, 4, 0, 12, 127);
TimeSpan diff = then - now;
Console.WriteLine(diff.TotalHours.ToString());
Console.Read();
}
}
Output:
20756.998012235873
The code simply subtracts the now date from the then date and it returns the total timespan value. Then the diff object is used to calculate the total amount of hours the represents the TimeSpan object.
